Ashgabat: Turkmenistan Tours

Ashgabat is situated in a beautiful valley at the foothills of Kopet Dagh. It came out first in 1881 as military fort, not distant from a hamlet having the same name. In 1885 a railway was constructed which reached the region. The shiniest page of Ashgabat’s history was the descend of Geoek-Tepe fort in the violent conflict with Russia. Till 1919 the city was recognized as Askhabat. In 1921 the city was named Poltoratsk. In 1927 the previous name in a new transcription – Ashkhabat [‘the city of love’] was brought back to the city. In the nineties there was one more transcription- Ashgabat. This is an inevitable part of Turkmenistan tours and holidays Turkmenistan.

Taxi

Fun of all was to return the taxi was a cause of nowhere. Came with full ammunition to the highway – have to vote. Past us dart buses with the inscription “Duty” is usually full of Kazakh grandmothers. Badger joked that it was well staffed by Kazakh grandmother. Then we picked up a shuttle bus (too full of grandparents). I sat there and realized – where my roots. The fact that my grandmother, my mother my father brought me up, just as Kazakhs, until his death and was packing braided hair – around the head. And my grandmother in the hungry 30 years traveling with his family to the north of Kazakhstan, yes … But the bus has deceived us – bad bus broke down, yeah! Landed in a sort of village. Badger bought koumiss and began a long time to drink it. At this time all the passengers of our bus somewhere rushed – and left. And we stayed in the village three – according to the Badger – Two Guys in a felt hat and blonde …

Tashketn capital of Uzbekistan

As my best friend (who was in Egypt in Sharm and Safaga) – well, what I saw in your Hurghada? Local color and the shops? Yes, I stay away from them … Alay market for me, pretty and clever (in those days!) Moscow girls (well – exaggerating, I was already then 24) – it was like a winter under the ice. Circle – Uzbeks in overalls and galoshes. Eat watermelon and bread. Aromas of roasted meat, spices, the collapse of watermelons and cantaloupes. I Dorval – bought some spices – for years to come! It was there, from my visit to Tashkent comes my love for Ziré, a special variety of cumin – since it was the cumin, I saw for sale only in Goa.
Vova quickly bought a Korean meal – it is now the Koreans sell their salads at every step (if not Korean cuisine – it would have been harder to experience all the Orthodox fasts, as well – the Koreans are making in my diet a significant diversity). I tried to feed the fish he – when I learned that it is wet, I rolled my eyes … Badger walked around us and whine that we are idiots, do not sell – and for every 100 rubles to 20 rubles lose a minimum. But prices are so strikingly different from Moscow, it seemed to us, then bargain – a sin. Finally Vova broke down and said – well, you’re so smart – that show us the class skill – bargain!
I like peaches. I terribly wanted peaches. A – out of season. Watermelons, melons, grapes, figs, quinces – are. Peaches – no. Finally we found an ancient old man – he was sitting between the rows on the ground (to avoid paying for a place in the ranks), next to him was a bag of peaches. Badger made a clever face and walked to the old man. The old man came to life: buy, dArAgoy, delicious peaches, sweet peach! Badger took a piece of fruit, made a significant person, a bite. Slowly chewed. And he said: “No, Grandpa, are you kidding – you have a savory peach (as Badger began to knock down the price). At that the old man even more animated and said: You’re talking nonsense, right? What is my peach? Salty, yes? When I otsmeyalas, Vovk I bought peaches at a price that he asked his grandfather, had called Badger dolbodyatlom and removed – and then the shame of a failed trade would neobobratsya-)))
The evening Mother Badger (despite its dull appearance), telling his son how to live our compatriots who have emigrated to Israel (in Uzbekistan during Soviet times was not only a lot of Russian – and Jews). Complained that the stores did not become galoshes, all sold out Uzbeks (yes – in the fields to work in galoshes – the most it is), and that should definitely get the galoshes, to convey their aunt World in Tel Aviv. Here is the Badger broke down and told her that yes – without galoshes rosseyskogo production life in Israel – well, no life at all!
And I was in Tashkent knew what had to be tomatoes. Those that grew up in the sun and in the garden, rather than plucked in Teplice green. Moreover, Tashkent tried to buy tomatoes, Tajik – preferably Leninabad – you know, a salad of the tomatoes with herbs do not need more than anything. No sour cream, no butter, no mayonnaise …
Walked all the same in Tashkent. I admired at the globe of Uzbekistan – on the main administrative building is hanging globe of the world and on it – such ogromennaya blyamba Uzbekistan – well, about a third of the northern hemisphere, yes …
